I just peeped True Freshman’s Winter collection and suggest you do the same. Local brand with a dope look book. A combination of hip hop and sports to create some crazy streetwear in snapbacks, varsity jackets, and baseball tees.
“The brand for student-athletes and over achievers. Because everyone wants to be on the Varsity Squad freshman year…”
If you hadn’t already come to the conclusion that Lady Gaga is f*cking amazing, allow me to show you this video. With mint colored hair and a fabulous black evening gown, Gaga sings the mess out the hilarious yet playful lyrics. This woman has seriously got some vocals on her. The original song, The Lady is a Tramp, is a show tune from the 1937 Rodgers and Hart musical. Apparently Bennett is a huge fan of Gaga, not your average “Little Monster”.
The best of both worlds in one shop? Yes, it is possible and DJ Taber offers just that in his shop. Not only can the fellas go in to get a clean line-up or fade, the ladies can swing in for a wash or flat iron. Check out the video below to meet the beautiful women of the shop and find the stylist you have been looking for. Whatever you need, there is at least one lady available with the technique to get the job done.
It was kind of hard for me to pick one because the songs were incredibly different. In one corner you have an upbeat nostalgic song noting things like Atari, Eddie Murphy, and VHS tapes. Singing “I’m going going back back to the future future” in the melody of Notorious B.I.G’s “Going Back to Cali”, he paints a vivid picture of the 80’s for those who do not know the time and creates a time machine for those who do.
In the other corner, Jay Barz, along with Pot Luck and Partners in Chryme , kill a dope beat for a 420 anthem. The perfect mix of hip hop and rock with a guitar solo building the beat for a party feel. Each artist has a distinct style ranging from fast and slow spits, shouting out local hoods and varieties of the finest green. SN: I MADE A CAMEO IN THE VIDEO 😉
Despite that SN, my vote is going with Ol’ Small. The song is just too fun, but both songs are great listens. Check the Face Off video and vote until December 7 at the Juice Radio FB page for your pick. The winner will get a taped interview with D-Money and the voters have the chance to submit a question with their name being mentioned during the show.
